Kscope12 Volunteers to Spruce Up a Boys and Girls Clubhouse in San Antonio
Be a part of an ODTUG tradition of giving back to the community that hosts the ODTUG Kscope Conferences. In 2008, we painted an elementary school in New Orleans. In 2009, we rehabilitated preserved coastal habitat in the Monterey, California area.
We went back to school in 2010 in Washington, D.C. where we organized a middle school library, landscaped the school grounds, and painted games on the playground blacktop. Last year the Boys and Girls Club of Long Beach was the recipient of a Kscope make-over both inside and out.
The Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio will receive the same treatment on Saturday, June 23, as ODTUG volunteers give five hours of their day painting and landscaping. ODTUGgers will impact the lives of some of San Antonio’s youth by making their future a bit brighter and one of their meeting places a bit more welcoming. This is our most ambitious project yet so we will need as many volunteers as possible!
When you register for Kscope12, be sure to indicate that you are interested in participating in the Community Service Day. We guarantee that you will end this day of giving back with a warm feeling of satisfaction, as well as new friends. This is without a doubt the best way to begin your week.
ODTUG COMMUNITY SERVICE DAY SPONSORSHIP
The Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio depends on generous individuals and community-minded companies to fund its programs. The ODTUG Kscope12 Community Service Day is no exception. Boys and Girl Club staff are needed to assist in the onsite organization of the project; food is needed to keep our volunteers energized; paint and other supplies must be purchased; and transportation costs need to be covered.
No donation is too small!
The Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio is a 501(c)(3) organization, so your donation is tax deductible to the full extent of the law. After direct expenses for the community service project are taken care of, all donations will go directly to the Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio.
Companies or individuals donating more than $300 will have their names or logo placed on the back of the official ODTUG Community Service Day T-shirt.
