Tracy McMullen, Oracle ACE Director, has been leading the development of enterprise performance management and data warehousing applications for over ten years. Roles on projects have ranged from developer, to architect and project manager on technologies from Hyperion and business objects to Cognos and Oracle. Tracy started her career at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting on a project programming in RPG. Thankfully, her next project introduced her to the world of multidimensional databases with a Cognos PowerPlay implementation for an oil and gas client (many years ago Tracy was certified in Cognos PowerPlay and Impromptu). Next, she helped clients from various industries revolutionize their information delivery with Hyperion and other technologies. After years of successful Business Intelligence implementations, a few shredded documents changed her career path from future partner to eliminating cancer. Tracy next joined the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center where she led the charge in implementing budget and planning solutions utilizing Hyperion Planning. Fate stepped in once again with relocation to the South Texas Coast, and Tracy found her new home with interRel Consulting as director of special projects. Tracy is a Hyperion certified consultant for Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion certified solutions architect for Hyperion Planning, and a certified project management professional (PMP). Tracy has been a regular instructor at interRel, Hyperion's user conferences, and other professional seminars since 2000, on topics including information delivery, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and Hyperion implementations. Her strong technical background is complimented by comprehensive practical experience in project management, a skill important not only on the job, but at home as well where she manages her kids on a daily basis (ok, she attempts to manage with moderate success).
