Dave Collins began his career some twenty-five years ago at Arthur Andersen & Co. as a program manager for the company’s worldwide budgeting application. The application was hosted via Comshare, a time-sharing, then software provider. Dave later joined Comshare, working as a consultant, instructor, and sales engineer. The move to Comshare included an introduction to Arbor Essbase, the fledgling multidimensional database that helped create the On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) world. After Comshare, Dave served at a few Arbor and Hyperion partners specializing in Essbase implementations and education. Eventually Dave joined Hyperion, which was later acquired by Oracle. During his ten years at Hyperion and Oracle, Dave served as a global director, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM). Today, Dave assists the clients of Ernst & Young LLP as a senior manager, EPM.
